Civil War Veteran Taken By Death

Enos Haskins of 183 Cayuga street passed away yesterday. Mr. Haskins was born in New York State in 1836 and has lived in Santa Rosa and South Dakota, and has been a resident of Santa Cruz for the past 24 years. He was a farmer in South Dakota and retired in this city.

He was a member of the Grand Army of the Republic and enlisted in Wisconsin for the Civil War. He served as a corporal during the war. He attended the Methodist church and was a member of the Odd Fellows in the east. In Santa Cruz he had many friends and was well known.

He is survived by his wife Emma Haskins, and a niece Mrs. A.L. Town of Santa Cruz. There were no children. The body is at the Chase mortuary and services will be held in the chapel at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. The services will be conducted by Rev. Hornaday and interment will be in SCruz/OMP cemetery.

DIED: HASKINS- In Santa Cruz April 6, Enos Haskins, aged 92 years 8 months and 20 days; a native of New York.

Funeral services will be held at the Chase mortuary today at 2 PM. Friends and acquaintances are invited to attend. Interment at SCruz/OMP cemetery.

Last Rites for Enos Haskins

The funeral services for Enos Haskins were in the charge of Rev. W. H.D. Hornaday at the chapel of the Chase mortuary yesterday afternoon. Many friends were present and the hymns were sung by Dr. Hornaday and were "Abide With Me" and "Rock of Ages".

The burial was at SCruz/OMP cemetery.
