Santa Cruz Sentinel (October 4, 1921)

DIED: FRANKLIN- In Santa Cruz Oct. 2, Alvin B. Franklin aged 83 years, 7 months and 29 days, a native of Vermont.

Funeral of the deceased will be held from the Chase undertaking parlors Wednesday, Oct. 5 at 10:30 o'clock A.M. Friends and acquaintances are invited to attend. Remains will be shipped to Townshend Vermont, Wednesday afternoon.

Newcomer Dies at Home

Alvin B. Franklin, a newcomer, and father of H.E. Franklin, who resides on McIntyre road, passed away Sunday following an illness and general breakdown.

Mr. Franklin was a native of Vermont and 85 years old, and was in the Union army during the Civil War.

The remains are to be shipped to Townshend, Vermont, where the funeral will be held.
