DIED: FIELD- In Santa Cruz, May 12, Albus T. Field, aged 80 years, 1 month and 14 days, a native of Maine.

Funeral of the deceased will be held from the residence of the daughter Mrs. J. Biedenweg, 168 Water St., Monday at 3 p.m. Friends and acquaintances are invited to attend. Interment at I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Albus T. Field, father of Mrs. Julius Biedenweg, Miss Effie Field, and W.F. Field, passed away at the home of his daughter at 168 Water Street Saturday Morning. It was only on March 26 that he was preceded in death by his wife.

Mr. Field has not been in the best of health for a period of 14 years, his illness having been caused by an operation that left him in an invalided condition. Mr. Field was a New Englander by birth and born in Maine 80 years ago. He was a man of fine principle and much devoted to members of the family who gave him every care during his illness.

The funeral will be held Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock. The services will be held at the home.

Mr. Field first came to Santa Cruz County in 1889 and settled here, but in 1910 went back to Maine where he stayed six years before returning. He was a Civil War veteran, serving in the Seventh Maine Battery. Interment will be at the I.O.O.F. cemetery.
