Santa Cruz Sentinel (March 6, 1923)DIED: DONNELLON- In Santa Cruz, March 5, Michael James Donnellon, aged 78 years 9 months and 20 days, native of Ireland.
Funeral of the deceased will be held from the undertaking parlors of Wessendorf & Son this (Tuesday) at 10 o'clock A.M. Friends and acquaintances are invited to attend. Remains will be shipped to Oakland for cremation.
Death of an Old Soldier
Michael James Donnellon, an old soldier and veteran of the Civil War, died yesterday morning at his home at 16 Wilkes circle.
Mr. Donnellon was born in Ireland 78 years ago, and served during the Civil War and always showed a deep interest in all that pertained to the old soldiers and to Wallace Reynolds post G.A.R. He leaves a wife, Mrs. Sarah Donnellon.
The body is at Wessendorf and Son's undertaking parlors and will be interred this morning.

Old Soldiers Attend Funerals
The members of Wallace Reynolds post, G.A.R. attended the services over Michael Donnellon in a body yesterday morning at Wessendorf & Sons undertaking parlors, where the services were conducted by Rev. Charles Leachman of Calvary church.
The hymns, "Rock of Ages" and "Nearer My God to Thee" were sung by Mrs. A.N. Mellor and Mrs. Joseph Riordan. the body was shipped to San Francisco for burial.
