Soldier Answers "Taps"

A.G. Austin Passed Away Yesterday at His Chittenden Home

Albert G. Austin, a well-known resident of Chittenden for the past three years, passed away at that place yesterday afternoon. Mr. Austin came to this state four years ago from Ohio, his Native State, and finally located at Chittenden to enjoy the last few years of his mortal life. Mr. Austin was a veteran of the Civil War and a member of the Grand Army of the Republic, and at the time of his death had passed the three score and ten mark.

The funeral will be held here tomorrow afternoon upon the arrival of the 12:30 train at the Pajaro depot from Chittenden, and the interment will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery. Mr. Austin is survived by his wife and a married daughter, both of whom reside at Chittenden.
