Death of a Grand Army Comrade

Alfred C. Anderson died this morning at the Eastern Hotel. He was 59 years of age and a native of Ohio.

Before coming to Santa Cruz he resided in Kansas, but for the past nine years has been a resident of this city. Mr. Anderson fought in the Civil war on the Union side. He leaves a wife and five brothers, one in Tuolumne County another in Vancouver Washington, one each in Klondyke, Kansas and New Mexico and two sisters in Colorado Springs and the other in Hastings, Nebraska.

DIED: Anderson in Santa Cruz April 11th, Alfred C. Anderson a native of Ohio aged 59 years.

Alfred C. Anderson died Monday at the Eastern Hotel. Before coming to Santa Cruz nine years ago he was a resident of Kansas. He served in the Civil War for three years. He leaves a widow and five children besides five brothers.
