Santa Cruz Sentinel (January 24, 1903)

DIED: ABARR- In Felton, John B. Abarr, a native of Illinois, aged 84 years 3 mo., 11 days. The funeral takes place this Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the Presbyterian Church. -- John B. Abarr, who died at Felton Friday was an old soldier. He was formerly a member of Wallace Post G.A.R. For thirty years he had been a resident of Felton.

John B. Abarr of Felton died on Friday 23rd inst.; age 84 years. He was a native of Illinois and a veteran of the great rebellion. He had been a resident of Felton for 30 years. He leaves four sons, and three daughters to mourn his death. Mrs. Geo. Hickey of this place being one of the latter.
