Remember Santa's Village?
This article includes colorful photos and describes the history of Santa’s Village theme park in Scotts Valley. This Santa’s Village was part of three franchised theme parks developed by Glen Holland and opened in 1957 and closed in 1979. The park was themed to look like the North Pole and included rides, a petting zoo, a maze, a puppet theatre, actors portraying Santa and Mrs. Claus as well as characters from children’s fairy tales. The article states that Santa’s Village in Scotts Valley would be featured in a show called “Lost Parks of Northern California on Bay Area NBC.
