This article discusses the history of the Pajaro Dunes resort area from the late 1880s through the development of 550 condominiums, townhouses and single family dwellings in the late 1960s and early 1970s. E.H. “Mickey” Holzman, owner of the Pajaro Dunes Co. & Resort states the resort arranges 2,500 to 3,00 short-term stays per year in cooperation with the Pajaro Dunes North Homeowner Association, property owners, and full time residents on the 142 acres of oceanfront resort community.
