The Branch Battle Begins Anew
Speakers came forward from La Selva Beach, Felton, and the west side of SC (Garfield Park) to plead to have their library branches kept open
- Many staff argued for a 6-branch system that would push them further into the future financially and operationally
- Staff favoring Model D because they claim that a 10-branch system is not financially viable
- Model D would entail remodeling Downtown, Aptos and SV to maximize efficiency and provide the most open hours; Capitola, Live Oak and BC would focus on youth services
