Library program helps shut-ins stay in touch
Volunteers from the book-buddy service come to patron's houses when they are unable to venture to the library themselves
- About 200 regular library patrons are house-bound
- Book buddies deliver materials at least once a month, if not more frequently
- Volunteers are fingerprinted and go through the correct protocol and training before beginning their role as a Book Buddy
