One aspect that was left from the original building at the site were a few stained glass windows, which were hung behind the reception desk as well as in the children's room.
Muralist Yermo Aranda was commissioned to create a work of art for the library. It has two parts to it, and was created by Even Start parents. (Even Start is a Del Mar school program which supports parents of preschoolers.)
