Citizens' committee will investigate fatal mudslide
The article describes that a citizens committee, made up mostly of residents from the evacuated Boulder Brook landslide area, will be formed to assess causes of the recent slide and to facilitate information transfer between the water district and residents. 11 residents are already suing the water district and a resident who graded their property near the reservoir. The Boulder Brook slide on February 14th took one life and raised concerns about the stability of a nearby reservoir. The water district says that engineering reports of the reservoir indicate no leakage though measures will be taken to assess and improve upon structural safety.
