The Swanton House was a hotel on Front Street, built in 1883. The hotel was on the upper two floors

The stone walls of the old County Bank building at the corner of Cooper Street and Pacific Avenue were shored up with wooden braces until re-enforcement repairs could be done. The facade was saved.
The building has been the Santa Lucia Motor Inn, later Star Lodge Rehab Center, now St. Philip's Episcopal Church. Tower was added in late 1990's.
