Group photograph of an unidentified Elks drill team. The Elks held their 1921 convention in Santa Cruz. The drill teams competed on the tennis courts of the Casa del Rey.
The Elks float in the Water Pageant of 1912. The San Lorenzo River was dammed to create a lake for the duration of the pageant. The marine parade, led by the Queen's barge, took place every evening. Some floats were awarded prizes.
