Veterans History Project: An Interview with Allen Caruselle

Born in Okinawa, Japan in 1982, Allen Caruselle is a third generation Marine who served in the US Marine Corps from 2002 to 2006 during Operation Iraqi Freedom, and served a total of three tours. He was an infantry rifleman in the 1st Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment in Husaybah near the Syrian border. He received the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal and a Certificate of Commendation, and reached the rank of E-4. Allen is also a published author with his poetry published in the book "Operation homecoming" (2004).
